Dear Friends,
The “2nd Annual Brady C. Lucas Golf Outing" that was held on August 29, 2009 at the Grandview Golf Club was another successful day. We would like to thank the sponsors, volunteers, and golfers who helped us to raise $21,500 for the “The Four Diamonds Fund”. We have a two year cumulative total of $45,100.
My son Brady, who is now 13 years old, is doing great and is 100% in remission. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April 2005. He completed his treatments and medications from Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital in July 2008. In July of 2009, Brady had been off medications for 1 year, which is a huge milestone, since in most cases, a high percentage of children who get through the first year off medications with this type of cancer have a greater chance to be cured. He will continue to have regular checkups for the next 6 years and God willing, will continue to be 100% in remission and after 10 years be cured.
Brady has had a busy year playing competitive baseball, basketball, golf, and wiffle ball. Yes, wiffle ball in a neighborhood league, as well as, making the distinguished honor roll as a 7th grader and being inducted into the West York Middle School’s Jr. Honor Society. The scary part is that he is starting to like girls.
We are holding the “3rd Annual Brady C. Lucas Golf Outing” at the Grandview Golf Club in York, PA on August 28, 2010 in honor of Brady to raise funds for the “The Four Diamonds Fund” at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. If you would like more information on the “The Four Diamonds Fund”, please visit their website at www.hmc.psu.edu/fourdiamonds/ or on our outing, visit www.bradyclucasgolfouting.org.
We are seeking sponsors to help support the Golf Outing where all proceeds benefit the “The Four Diamonds Fund”. All donations are tax deductible and are truly appreciated.
We are planning a great event with many prizes, great food and drinks, and a lot of fun. We look forward to seeing you at Grandview Golf Club.
Sincerely,
Thomas Lucas

Dear Friends,
We will be holding the “1st Annual Brady C. Lucas Golf Outing” on September 6, 2008 at Grandview Golf Club in York, Pennsylvania.
As most of you are aware, my son Brady was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April of 2005. Brady has done tremendous battling this blood cancer and is currently in remission. If all goes well, he is scheduled to be done with his treatments and medications by the end of July 2008.
We are holding this outing to honor Brady and to raise funds for an unbelievable organization called the “The Four Diamonds Fund” at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. You may have heard of The Four Diamonds, which has a 46-Hour Dance-A-Thon every year at Penn State University’s main campus, as well as, numerous smaller Dance-A-Thons at satellite Penn State University’s Campus’ and Junior and Senior High Schools around Pennsylvania. Please read the enclosed brochure on the history of the “The Four Diamonds Fund”. I can attest first hand of the benefits, not only the financial help dealing with all the medical bills, but also the group of people involved from doctors and nurses to social workers and researchers, which continually strive to conquer childhood cancer.
We are seeking sponsors to help support the Golf Outing where all proceeds benefit the “The Four Diamonds Fund”. All donations are tax deductible and are accepted and appreciated.
We are planning a great event with many prizes, great food, and a lot of fun. We look forward to seeing you at Grandview Golf Club.
